I’m a grandmother, my Layla baby had her puppies. She was exhibiting signs of going into labor around 9:00ish. Panting, pacing, nesting. I took her temp, 98.1 compared to Shadow’s 100.8 so I knew it was going to happen soon. We let her do her thing for a couple hours and around 1ish she had stuff coming out of her so we kept her calm and tried to keep her in my room (because we have the closet set up for her and babies, it’s plenty big enough) but she wanted out. So we let her go do whatever and I had brought Mike over to help since his grandmother breeds dogs. Well I passed out around 4:15 and then around 5:00 i hear him go holy shit and hear SCREAMING. Layla had her first baby and brought it in here, tried to go on the bed, but was redirected to the closet. At around 6:00ish she had 2 and was working on bathing them, taking care of them, whatever. I went to sleep and got up at 9:15, she was now a mom of 7. Made sure she had food/water and was alright and skipped school due to the long night. At 1:00 i get up, 9 now. Oh dear. Layla’s exhausted but she’s doing well, I’m proud of my baby girl. When this whole thing is over shes gonna get fixed but for now we’re going to take care of them and we’ve got homes lined up for 3 so far… so we’ll see what happens. *stupid grins* Pictures under the tag of mommy, babies, and babies!
