Well it’s been quite a few days but I’ve been busy and lacked the motivation to blog. I’m at UB working until 3pm and it’s 1:08 so I’ve got time to kill. Why not give a nice update right? K, here we go.

College
I got my grades back and I’m VERY pleased overall especially considering the almost dropping out situation. I could’ve done better but I can’t kick myself over and over for it, I did really well.

Communication 101 - A- (should’ve done all the assignments and gone to class, woops)
Geo 106 - B- (could’ve gone to class more)
INF 102 - A
INF 125 - A
Comp apps - A
Soc 101 - A
US HIS 162 - A- (went to class more)

See a pattern? Haha. My overall GPA was a 3.668 for 22 credit hours and my cumulative has now hit 3.5. I’m thinking of retaking calc which was a C+ to boost my GPA up but we’ll see. I’m enjoying my break now and am officially 50% complete with my college undergraduate program. Well, a bit more. I have 68 hours and you need 120 to graduate. *Sqeeeeee*

Work
I’m working at both UB and IGA (grocery store) and overall combined I’m doing close to 45 hours/week which is a bit overwhelming but my pocket thanks me. IGA is only 6 miles from the house though but I definitely am glad I have the job. I work with Randy’s mom, Pat, his cousin(s), and some cool people overall. I do cashiering but occasionally we’ll get the odd jobs like stocking or facing isles and I can honestly say i LIKE my job. I’ve been doing 10 hour shifts (like yday) where I’m on my feet all day but it’s alright. My boss can be a pretty cool lady and it’s kinda like we’re a big family. I’ve also gotten on her good side so I don’t think it’ll be long before I’m trained up at the counter and get more responsibility (and a raise). I’ll probably keep it when I start school, I wasn’t going to at first but I like it so… yeah. UB is like 4 hours a week but it’s $40 and gives me a reason to come to this area and I can see Randy and make $$ too. I’ll be bringing in about $250-$300/week between the 2 jobs which is more than enough to cover my expenses at the time. I also found car insurance for $1300/6 months which beats the $2100 for 6 that I paid previously. When I renew in August I’m switching. I’ve also pretty much quit doing PPP because opps were limited and I’d rather go work a “real” job than scrounge to spew off advertisements.

Health
I don’t think I’m having seizures during the night, I’m led to believe it’s night terrors because I had 3 this past weekend and all the information I’ve found online shows that my symptoms match up and both my EEG and MRI came back clean so I’m at a standstill otherwise. I’m going to call the neurologist sometime this week to schedule an appointment because i read being on meds can help reduce or eliminate them. I’m a hazard to myself because I’m not “here”. I hit my head on things, bite my tongue (i think this piece i bit off it gone for good. It’s gross), and just overall it’s not good for me to keep experiencing these. Ugh. *sigh* Hopefully something gets done about it. The last one Randy was there for and he kept me from injuring myself besides the whole tongue deal. I got really sick though and was throwing up all day long. :(

Loooove
Randy and I are doing good. He begins unlimited hours on Thursday so no more 8 hour time limits and he can do both volunteering and spending time with me without hour restrictions, as long as he’s there for mandatory dinner and gets his appointments/volunteering in. He’ll be 3 months complete on May 31st. His scheduled release appears to be July sometime so we’ll see what happens. He’s also coming home overnight this weekend which I’m most certainly looking forward to. Sleeping in his arms = heavenly.

Now It’s 2:05 and I’ve got 55 minutes before I can jet out to go find some food and visit my Rando for a few hours. 7-1 shift at IGA tomrorow. Fun wow right? Actually it’ll go by really fast. Have a lovely day ladies (and guys if you read this).

And to end, here’s a goofy pic I took the other day while chilling with Pat.

  1. Something about that pic, I really like it. You look happy. :) And uber-congrats on the grades! NOT bad for 22 credit hours, you crazy lady! I’m glad to hear you’re liking your job and congrats on finding cheaper insurance!! I also hope the neurologist can prescribe you something. I’d much rather have night terrors than seizures brain-cell wise, hopefully that’s what it is and you can treat it. *hugs*

  2. Those grades are excellent! Congratulations - like Sara said, that is awesome for the heavy course load!

I hope someone figures out what’s going on … whether it’s night terrors or something else… it just needs to be taken care of. :\

  3. Aw. great job on those grades hun! :) I still can’t believe what a heavy workload that is. I don’t think I could do that, let alone pass things. :P

  4. Congratulations on the grades, they are awesome. It’sgood to hear You & Randy are doing well, and he gets to spend the night. I’m sure you’re deffinately happy about that.
