Back in the big N-Y

Well well, I’m back in the big New York because things didn’t work out in West Virginia. To keep it from turning into a novel I’ll say that financially it was hard only making $5.85/hr with 26-32 hrs a week plus $50/taxes taken out and then the house we were supposed to move into was made so we can’t (long story) and I couldn’t afford an apartment with all the utilities and stuff. (Holy run-on sentence batman). So I decided to come back to NY and surprised everyone here. I also missed my family, friends, and Randy’s parents too. My job was also pretty crappy down there and loads better working at the grocery store here than the boring RA down there where I stood around a great majority of the time. Ick, no fun at ALL.

As for school, I’m on a break for probably 2 semesters in order to get financial garbage all sorted out. I have 5 maxed out credit cards and a car loan I need to finish paying off (like $222 or something from totaling my focus) along with an overdue cell phone plus I have satellite currently turned on. This all amounts to well over $3,000. My car insurance was $258/month with no way of reducing so I also took my jimmy off the road and mom is going to take me to and from work/wherever I need to go and once I’m back at work I’ll toss her like $30/week for gas and maybe like $25/30 a month for insurance since she only pays like $110 for her and my dad both. I’ll be making over $200/week and having only those bills to pay I’ll be able to get on track very easily. Not to mention I’m burned out from school and I’m not sure if the program I’m in is what I really want to do at this point. Why waste money and time for a degree I may NEVER use? Exactly.

The weather is also about 25-30 degrees cooler presently and the humidity is about 30% lower. Thank GOD. It was so unbearable there. Randy and I are moved from my humongous room I shared w/ Pat to my sister’s old room which is 9.5ftx8ft so it’s uber tiny but we get privacy. Otherwise it’d be me, Randy, Pat, and Levi all in one big room and thanks but no. I like my privacy entirely too much for that crap and *censored* stuff likes to happen frequently.

As for what’s been going on lately… I have a UTI (TMI yes) which I got meds for yesterday and had a night terror last night which put me in so much pain at 2:30 or so and I ended up being in the ER until about 6:45 while they gave me a shot of toradil and regulin in order to combat the nausea, dizziness, intense pressure/pain, and everything else (also made me sleep) and sent me on my way with tylenol/codeine. I need to follow up with my neurologist and primary care physician to see if I can get on anything to regulate these on a permanent basis. Who knows though.. I have no clue. I’m also considering going to IGA tomorrow to talk to Nancy about getting my job back, since Pat talked to her and she said I’d have to go in there myself. Considering only Janice and Diane are working the counter and the store is open approximately *thinks* 14 hrs a day x 6 and 12 hrs on Sunday… I don’t think 2 people can cover all shifts plus breaks. Humph. Wish me luck and leave links for me to add to my bookmarks so I can start catching up on everyone’s lives again. Living in WV had me internetless nearly for a month. Oh the torture.

Sorry things didn’t work out in WV — but at least now you’re closer to your friends and family.
And I’m REALLY sorry to hear about your UTI - I had one last year. It was effing HORRIBLE. I hope it goes away soon.
