My dad’s boss wants this bedroom back. Let me back up just a minute here though. His boss is our landlord b/c he’s a farmer and this house/apt is included with his job. It’s a big house split into 3 apartments if you want to get technical. We have half the house. Then each of the upstairs/downstairs is an apartment on the other side where the immigrants live. Well at one point in the upstairs apartment there was only 1 of them so we asked if we could have the bedroom for that apartment since it joined directly to our side and we got a yes. Well now I guess there are 4 and they want this room back.

That poses a problem considering this room is 15ft by like 15ft. The only other bedroom we have is 8ft by 6ft i believe. It also has a leaking roof which his boss refuses to fix b/c he’s LAZY. Well Randy and I peeked up into the attic last night and discovered it’s the size of the entire upstairs. We’re considering building stairs up to it (because it’s just a trapdoor in the ceiling at the moment) and then finishing the floor (it just needs a bit of plywood to add to the supports) and we want to actually make it like a mini studio apartment. Then we need to insulate the walls (but not the floors b/c it’s upstairs and it won’t BE cold) and then we’ll be set. If we can figure out everything we’ll be in a very good position. Then we’ll separate it into rooms to have a little kitchen and bathroom up there. We’d put our bathroom right above the upstairs one and voila!

I’m really excited about it, I hope it can become more than just talk you know? If I had a room/apartment up there I’d be in heaven.
