Well it’s been 2 1/2 days since I’ve been there and I kinda miss it. Just a little. I guess Diane told my mom this morning when she went to cash her check that if I would’ve gone in this morning I’d still have my job, even though I walked out on Tuesday mid shift after being pissed off. Desperate much? I think so. I’m glad I don’t have to deal with her anymore.

However, at the same time I’m going to miss some of it. I’m gonna miss the customers who I’m on a first name basis with. Like Mrs. Foss, grumpy, Chad, Mrs. Draves, all my old people who said on Wednesdays “Did I get my old folks discount today?”. the guys who would come in and pick on us girls jokingly everyday, the man who would want 1 of each type of lotto ticket by saying “gimme a…” and at the end “Now gimme a smile” and you can’t help but do it. I’ll miss all that, I’ll miss the easyness of scanning items and then sticking them inside of a bag. I think most of all I’ll miss the fact that it’s a tiny hometown grocery store where I know everybody and how things run. I like familiarity, a lot.

But oh well right? There are more minimum wage jobs and I can make new friends. I can also learn new things and make more money. The best part? I’ll be happier. I know it. I don’t enjoy feeling like a piece of dirt everyday at my job when I know I’m doing a DAMN good job at what I do and applying myself fully. That’s hard to say about all employees.

Now I’m going to enjoy playing Need for Speed Underground 2 with Randy for a bit while listening/watching Episode 13 of Season 1 Dr. House. Our goal is to catch up by watching every episode, getting all the information about all members of the team, and then get to Season 4 which is airing now. Only over 65 episodes to go now
