I’ve reverted back to the theme I used for quite awhile when I first started my website, the firefox one. Hey, I’ve got to live up to the domain name don’t I? What’s more nerdy than featuring a browser on your website theme? I also like the color combination that comes along with it so this will probably be my theme for quite awhile. It’s light enough to view everything and my links stand out more than before, which I was looking for in a theme. I need to go through and delete a bunch of old themes that I downloaded but never use for one reason or another.
My site also turned 1 year old on November 12th. I can’t believe that I’ve been blogging that long and before that I was over on a subdomain of Jess’s and before then over on kiwibox.com, so I’ve been blogging since I was about 13. Damn, that’s 7 years. It definitely doesn’t seem like it’s been that long but it has. Here’s to hoping that I continue blogging for many more years to come.
I don’t make it a secret that I hate shoes of any sort. I love wearing flip flops and being barefoot (or even just wearing socks) regardless of time of the year or what activity I’m doing but my boyfriend is exactly the opposite. He wears shoes from the time he wakes up until he goes back to bed. Actually, he wears a pair of Hunting Boots that he got last Christmas because they keep his feet warm and protected. He wears shoes out in 2-3 months usually so he’s often on the lookout for something that will last a little longer.
It’s definitely time for him to get a new pair and like last Christmas, he’ll probably get another pair but this time they won’t be cheaply made and be worn out in no time at all. It’s important to invest in boots that will last, not necessarily the cheapest thing on a rack at your local department store. That’s why I’ve looked online and just may buy him some off of a website specializing in both hunting and Hiking Boots as well. The boots are sorted by height, function, or brand as well. They offer a wide variety of brands such as Rocky, Wolverine, and Dickies. Not only that but they also offer free shipping on orders over $100 so you’ll save yourself a bit of money there too because one of the major disadvantages of ordering things online is the shipping cost. With this little bump in the road eliminated, there is no reason to not order from them.
I’m an avid watcher of the show House M.D, featuring the ever so sarcastic Dr. Gregory House himself. I never really get into television too much (especially ones airing once a week) but I decided to give house a shot and have been hooked ever since.
I really think it’s the whole attitude and humor that lies underneath every episode that draws me in. He’s so blunt and “out there” to everyone from patients to his coworkers. His humor is very adult at times but there hasn’t been a single episode where I haven’t laughed at least twice at something he has done or said, especially with his boss Cuddy because the tension between them is blatantly obvious.
One of the only things I really dislike is that it’s predictable. Start the episode with an injury of sorts, House is assigned the case (often after much arguing), House also does clinic duty with much complaining. Then the team is assigned the case, they run tests and think they’ve got a diagnosis for the patient which usually ends up wrong and makes them worse along with a plethora of new symptoms showing up. Then House comes up with the real problem using very discreet and un-obvious clues he’s thought up or discovered breaking into their house (actually he sends his team out to do it). Then the patient goes home and everything is all good again.
Regardless I can’t get enough of it. I’ve got seasons 1-3 on DVD and am on Episode 6 of season 2 already and only began a week or so ago watching them all from beginning to end. Check it out, even for one episode and maybe you’ll become a House addict like many of us already have.
Many people suffer from muscle and/or joint pain on a daily basis with little means to relieve it. They may have tried many things from creams to gels to even massage therapy and still live their everyday lives in pain. For many people it inhibits their ability to do their jobs or even simply doing physical activities they used to enjoy. There is no reason for this when it’s possible to gain relief from trying out a newer product that also promises the same thing but actually works, which makes all the difference in the world.
My boyfriend Randy is a very active guy. He used to play all sorts of sports along with doing activities daily that included being physical due to being bored while sitting around. He likes to run, bike, and even acts like a monkey a lot of times jumping over objects or climbing into areas no one else is able to access. He’s now 23 but when he was a bit younger he experienced an injury which still affects him to this very day. Like I said, he bike rides a lot and he was in a tournament racing for 5k and he over exerted himself and strained one of his thigh muscles. He never went to a doctor for it but every so often it flares up and causes him a lot of pain.
While He was complaining about it one day after working on a roof and doing a lot of stretching from one areas to another I came up with an idea. I received a free sample of a couple packets of Freeze It Gel in the mail and figured it wouldn’t hurt to try it out to see if maybe it would grant him some relief, even temporarily. His groin/thigh muscles were incredibly sore so he rubbed a little in and he said it felt hot and then cold but it was incredibly relieving and soon began asking me if I had anymore anytime it flared up again just because it was that good of a product. I, unfortunately, ran out awhile ago but currently they’re running a contest to win a free 12 month supply of the product and I know he’d definitely get a lot of use out of it, even if it’s not for that muscle because he often goes overboard when doing something physical. It could also help anyone we know who may strain themselves every once in awhile. I also know my dad experiences pain around his rib area from an accident over 8 years ago and he may even get some use out of it.
That’s not the only thing that Freeze It is good for though. It can also be used for minor pain relief associated with exercising (whether daily, weekly, whatever) by applying a small amount before engaging in the activity and a liberal amount afterwards. It also works in combination with ice if that is found to be a pain reliever too. Another way I would utilize the product would be on my back for bedtime relief, since I often wake up from pain while sleeping (probably due to a bad mattress). All it takes is a bit before bed and a good night’s sleep can come out of it. I’m sure anyone who has issues sleeping would appreciate a way to peacefully sleep through the night. Another common problem people experience is chronic arthritis and all it takes is some of the product around the area anytime pain is experienced. The possibilities for use are endless and it can be applied safely up to four times per day so if it’s something that frequently causes pain Freeze It will greatly help and make dealing day-to-day a lot easier.
Recently with quitting my job I’ve learned a bit more that it doesn’t help to be miserable all the time because something doesn’t go your way. That’s a big step for me because I’m used to getting my way in a lot of things in life, specifically when it comes to other people.
For example, moving into the attic isn’t exactly something I want to do but at the same time I ought to be thankful that I’m able to still live at home and have everything I need without paying an arm and a leg just to live comfortably. I’ll be able to live with my boyfriend still along with having my family right downstairs. I also have internet and satellite so I’m living very reasonably at the moment.
I also began building my computer before I left my job and only was able to buy the motherboard before I left. However, that’s $88 of the cost that I now don’t have to worry about and will be able to afford the other parts piece by piece as well. I’ll get it done sometime soon, within 2-3 months and that’s not a very long wait at all.
I just need to be more of an optimist instead of pessimistic all the time, it’ll make both me and everyone I interact with a bit happier and less irritated with me when I get upset or mad and take it out on everyone (because I do that all too frequently as well). We’ll see where this little revelation goes though, hopefully in a positive direction right?
