Payday Loans

Thursday, November 22nd, 2007

With the holiday season already here (although some consider that it starts tomorrow) people may be strapped for cash, yet still want to buy gifts for their friends and family. It’s not always feasible for people to just come up with spending money especially living paycheck to paycheck like so many families do.

In this case some people may look into the prospect of payday loans. They’re quick money which can be received in a day or two. This isn’t the only reason people get them though. They’re also decent for if an emergency expense comes up such as a sudden car repair or veterinary bill. Some may even decide to use it for a shopping experience tomorrow on Black Friday.

The site I linked above actually has a list of different payday loan companies which cater to different needs depending on what the loan is needed for or how much money you make. They even take into account the amount the loan is for. It’s possible to get up to $1500 in a loan and perfect for people who have bad credit. So if you need some financial assistance definitely check this out.

Home Lighting

Thursday, November 22nd, 2007

My house is from the late 1800’s and the structure shows it. We don’t have ceiling lights in most of the rooms and depend on lamps which don’t provide enough light for my liking since I’m not a vampire, I really don’t like darkness at any time of day until I’m going to sleep.

When I have my own house I’m going to ensure I’ve got decent lighting in every room of my house and a light such as the et2 wood branch chandelier would definitely be a nice addition to any home. Since I’m moving into my attic maybe I’ll look into buying something like the LT Flush mount because we have absolutely no lights up there at the moment and lamps will have a hard time keeping that entire room bright.

Black Friday Mania

Thursday, November 22nd, 2007

Tomorrow is the infamous Black Friday, which actually symbolizes when many companies go from being in the red to making a decent profit because commercialism explodes. Many people are boycotting this by practicing a “buy nothing” day which I think is pointless because if you don’t buy tomorrow then you’ll buy eventually. It doesn’t matter on WHAT day, all that matters is their business is getting YOUR money when you buy THEIR goods.

I’ve only gone to black friday sales once myself and it wasn’t all that exciting but I’m also from a small town so it’s not so insane like it’s pictured. I haven’t really seen anything that would make me excited for tomorrow’s sales since I don’t really buy anything on impulse just because it’s on sale. I buy things because I was intending on buying them anyways. I saw a 20″ LCD computer monitor for only $168 which is a great price imo because I’m finding 15″ ones for $199 usually. (At walmart)

I intended on buying a new monitor for my custom computer anyways but now I’m really thinking about taking that leap and buying it now because when I actually do build the computer I won’t be able to find anything nearly that cheap. We’ll see though.

Choosing the right ISP

Thursday, November 22nd, 2007

Practically everyone has the internet in their homes in this day and age. Obviously to access the internet you need to have a reliable ISP. For people new to the whole deal it can be an overwhelming choice to make because there are so many options available. It can be useful to surf websites (from a friend’s or public computer) that will help youFind an ISP that suits your needs. There are many options from DSL to cable to even dial-up.

Many ISPs even offer additional services besides just the internet such as offering software that will help Protect Your Computer from Spyware and Adware which is extremely useful for newbies who don’t have a lot of experience with the internet. There are also services provided through internet service providers such as telephone service through voice over internet protocol providers like Vonage, Packet8, Skype, ViaTalk and NetZero Voice. These eliminate the need for telephone lines because everything operates through the ISP line.

Soon enough technological advances will rule how we do everything and it’s begun already so get into the mode and get a head start on the process.

Happy Thanksgiving all!

Thursday, November 22nd, 2007

It’s Thanksgiving! *throws confetti all around* Oh wait… that’s for New Year’s. I’m a little ahead of myself I see, just a bit though. Randy and I were up half the night because we felt like shit. Sniffly still and hot then cold, it was shitty so we didn’t go to bed until after 5 sometime. We got up at 12:30 when my dad came in here telling us to get downstairs because dinner was in 5 minutes. *yawn* I’m still sleepy.

I ate really light because we are going to Randy’s parents house at about 2:30/3ish to eat there at 5 too. We’re really not looking forward to it because his grandmother and aunts/uncles are gonna be there and it can get hectic, not to mention it’s a trailer and there are going to be approximately *counts* 10 of us there? Ah well. If it gets too crowded and crazy we can leave since we’re taking mom’s car over.

I just hope the roads don’t get slushy/sleety because I can’t drive in that shit and it’s snowing here now. It was raining this morning though so we all know what that turns into, ice.

Darnit my mom just told me I have to go drop something off at my grandmother’s before we go so that’s another 15 miles. BAH. Oh well though, I’m sure my grandma will want to see someone besides sitting by herself all day. She didn’t want to drive out due to the weather. Well, have a lovely day everyone!
