LED Christmas Lights

Being that today is Thanksgiving I’m at my landmark. By this I mean it’s ok to start decorating for the Christmas season. When people do it too soon it irritates me for some reason or another, I guess it’s the whole too soon deal because I began seeing Christmas decorations around Halloween. Commercialism at it’s best.

With that being said, my mom goes wild with her Christmas lights, putting them both inside and outside to decorate our porch and house. We have the old fashioned kind that we’ve used for many years but I think it’s time to buy some new ones and a good option could be to go with the LED lights this year. They last longer and use only 1/10th the energy that the traditional lights use. They also last 50,000 hours as compared to the 2000 for standard incandescent lights. Not too bad I’d say.

Even if my mom doesn’t buy them this year, when I have my own house and begin decorating I’ll end up buying the LED lights to save both electricity and get more for my money as well.
