Well I posted previously on how I wasn’t going to go shopping on Black Friday… I lied. Well, not really. At the time I didn’t expect to go at all but I was browsing through ads and just happened to see this Acer 20″ LCD monitor and couldn’t pass it up for $168. That’s a nice deal for me and my 15″ just wasn’t cutting it, especially with the fact there was a weird mark on it that made it look like a bullet or something shot it (probably my brother’s air guns that shoot plastic mini balls out) in the upper right corner. Randy’s using it now, ditched his CRT, and I’m enjoying going from 768×1024 to 1050×1680 :) I definitely can’t complain about it and it’s Acer so it’s not an off brand either.

We went shopping at 5am, it killed me since we didn’t sleep all night. Oh man did it. We got to walmart at 5:10 and the crowds… omg the crowds. No carts available, lines everywhere and people at every turn. I also got a pair of PJ pants for me, another for Randy, some pop, deodorant, and he also got his Christmas present which I let him pick out. He’s definitely got a childish side because he picked out a remote control truck (silverado) he can drive around. Meh, whatever makes him happy you know? It was only $20 so when Christmas comes I’ll be buying him a few little things here and there that he wants/needs. The truck is staying up in the closet until xmas though so… :) I couldn’t pass it up because for a mere $20 that was decent. Then we hit up kmart which was lame. Their employees were less than helpful (whereas walmarts were extremely helpful and cheery) and they had extremely limited quantities and HUGE lines (we didn’t wait at wally world). I knew there was a reason I always chose Walmart over Kmart. They’re right next door to each other too. Then by then it was about 8 so we went to a local restaurant and every table but 1 was filled. We got breakfast but it tasted like crap. Overdone eggs, gooey sausage, hard bacon, soggy toast… the only thing decent was the pepsi I was drinking to wake up. Our waitress forgot my aunt’s ice water and napkins even though we asked twice (but there were like 25 tables) and there were only 2 waitresses and their dishwasher called in. We still tipped her 20% because it’s not her fault. Then we got home around 9 and passed out until roughly 3, did a bit of cleaning, and now we’re here. I feel loads better because I took a shower and am nice and clean and a bit more awake thankfully.
