Randy’s dad currently works making pole barns for a local company and his mother works at a grocery store. His dad has a ton of real estate books though because he wants to get involved in it while working so he can eventually leave his job and go into real estate full time. Since we’re from New York it wouldn’t feasible for him to get involved in anything that centers are looking for Boulder real estate and Boulder is a city in Colorado. Maybe he’d get involved in something like Buffalo or Rochester. Who knows, maybe he could even focus on our small town of Batavia.

With all the excitement and tiredness yesterday I completely forgot to mention that I may have a job now! While we were shopping at walmart my mom’s ex boss’s girlfriend was there and mentioned that they’d like her to come back to work. She was working at a little warehouse where they packed boxes with sunglasses to ship out. I believe she was doing the box making. I’m not sure. Now they’re doing Christmas ornaments and also bought another shop and I guess got a little bit ahead of themselves. Anyways, to the point, they never called her back b/c they didn’t have her phone number so she gave them both her cell and house numbers. I also told her when he calls (or she calls him) to mention I’m interested as well. It’s a small building with like 8 people working in it. You work from 9-4 (usually) 5 days a week, weekends off. It’s also like $8 or $8.50 and hour because it beats minimum wage. I’d love if I had it. Mom and I would ride to work together and things would be just peachy. *crosses fingers* Wish me luck! If this doesn’t pan out I’ll probably call kmart because they had a sign up saying they were hiring immediately for seasonal positions.

Policeman are very uniformed when we see them in public with their clothing and gear to protect themselves from anything dangerous. I’ve always thought that the county/state provides the gear, uniforms, and everything else a cop needs. I’d imagine they do to keep everything uniform but you never know. If you’re interested in getting something that police user or wear you can check out websites that feature things such as a galco holster for a gun. I’d personally be a bit more into the clothing such as a polo or a pair of pants but to each their own.

I don’t know if you’ve seen American History X ever or recently but I own it and think it’s a great movie. It really shows how life can be in different areas of the country or even in your state but in a different setting. For example, living in the small town world I’m not used to gangs, criminals, or cops having to be at schools but that’s everyday life to some individuals. The movie also shows how horrendous hate can be, especially when it has no real basis besides something like skin color or ethnicity. It’s ridiculous, completely. I actually was watching it and made the comment that all history classes should watch it because it really is a film that can instill some deep emotion and it’s extremely powerful. Although it’d never happen because the vulgarity and sexuality in the movie would be too much to handle for teenagers.

I took my car off of the road back in September because I couldn’t afford the cost of auto insurance. I was paying over $250 a month for minimum coverage on a ‘93 vehicle but it’s because my driving record is FAR from clean due to accidents and a few tickets. Fortunately some of that comes off next August and then maybe I can get a reasonable quote. However, car insurance does come in handy when you get into accidents like I did in June and ended up totaling my car. They paid off the loan and also for the repair on the other vehicle. Cars aren’t the only things that need insurance though. Your home may get broken into and to get things replaced home insurance is necessary. If you go on vacation travel insurance may also be useful. Insurance can be a bit pricey but if you shop around and find the best quote then in the end it will be completely worth any hassle.
