Payday Loans

Sunday, November 25th, 2007

I’m still thinking about possibly getting one of the ever so famously advertised Payday loans to get me through the next week or so until I can find a job because it’s not rocket science to know that bill collectors don’t care what is going on in life. They want their money and want it NOW. The only thing holding me back is the fast repayment and the incredibly high interest rates but sometimes you’ve got to do what has to be done.

Uproar over tolls

Sunday, November 25th, 2007

There has been a HUGE issue with the decision to increase tolls on the NYS thruway which extends over 400 miles. It was supposed to be a toll collecting highway until the cost was paid off, which I believe was accomplished in the late 1990’s but here it is 2007 and the tolls are still present and even on the incredible rise. However, they’ve also got tolls on the Grand Island overpass which is obviously an ISLAND and there are fees to cross. People who live on the island have to pay to get off of it, it’s NOT a huge one. I can cross from one section to the other in roughly 3-5 minutes maximum. I really think they need to eliminate these tolls, it’s not fair for people who needs to go somewhere to have to pay an unnecessary fee. I hope it works out, I had to pay $.75 to cross the bridge each way every time I went to see Randy which was approximately 3-5 times a week. That money adds up REALLY fast. (Not to mention to get there I also had to pay $.75.

Vacationing in Greece

Sunday, November 25th, 2007

I haven’t gone on any sort of vacation since I went to Tennessee when I was 16 with my family and best friend at the time. We went to Newport and enjoyed staying in a cabin, sightseeing on the strip mall, horseback riding, and enjoying time in the hot tubs. It’s the place I intend on going for my honeymoon but unfortunately for me I’ve never gone anywhere out of the country and would love to someday. Nowadays with the internet and all the resources available it’s very easy to find a decent travel agent or company to help you find the best prices for flights and accommodations. Maybe one day when I either become rich or save enough money I’ll go and research some of the Greece package holidays available.

Entertainers of the year

Sunday, November 25th, 2007

I was just browsing on CNN and stumbled on information about 2007’s top 25 entertainers of the year. I decided to read the article just for giggles, even though I haven’t been up to date on Hollywood’s latest drama and lame fest. The number one was George Clooney, whom I’ve honestly NEVER seen entertain in any way, shape or form. How about I just go through and name off everyone who I have actually seen and what I think? Sounds like a plan.

Will Smith - absolutely love him, he’s entertaing, attractive, and can be both funny and serious and still pull this off
Tommy Lee Jones- loved him in Armageddon, never seen him otherwise but whew he’s a hottie regardless of age
Johnny Depp - I loved Gilbert Grape, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, and Pirates but I think he’s getting to the end of his career.
Carrie Underwood - She’s pretty and has a very beautiful voice buuuuuuut some of her music is so overplayed it drives me up the damn wall
Kanye West - I might catch an interesting song or two but he’s a cocky and arrogant rapper

Ok, I’m cold and can’t type anymore. This episode of Amanda’s uninformed opinion on entertainers shall be continued.

Photographs in different places

Sunday, November 25th, 2007

Occasionally I’ll take a picture of something that I find to be amazing whether it’s a picture of myself or another person that just looks phenomenal, a nice sight outside my house, or one of my beloved pets. I’m a digital photography person so I only look at them on my computer or when I decide to print it off. I think it’d be really interesting to have it in an interesting location. There are websites that offer to place your photos in objects that are used everyday such as a shower curtain or even have the ability to create washable Photo Blankets so the picture can be used everywhere. We all know sometimes it’s hard to find a blanket that suits your needs and tastes so making your own solves that problem perfectly.
