Layla had her babies

Well I never made a formal announcement saying Layla was pregnant or that she had her puppies but on March 21st after 5 hours of labor or so she has 8 puppies. They’re now 1 week old and all doing well. They are SO loud though, holy cow. They fight like crazy but they are SO adorable. Of course, pictures below of the momma and babies. No eyes are open yet but they ought to be soon I imagine. Shadow has absolutely no interest in them which is good because Layla would have a complete cow over it.

I’m bouncing in my chair right now though because I really hope I can get this job. They have an interesting setup for reservations that I’m going to have to get to use to and trained on but it can’t be any harder than learning to operate a small business phone system.

Craft completion (Pics included!)

Well I’ve been talking about canvas for a week.. maybe even more perhaps? I had ongoing projects and I’ve completed a couple and I promised a certain someone *cough*Kecia*cough* I’d post pics. I finished Randy’s bookmark Monday but I sent it out before I took a picture. I do have mine that I finished, along with 2/50 states since I’m doing somewhat of a puzzle on my wall with them, and my biggest accomplishment is my two bears with the heart. That has taken me the longest. Pardon any mistakes because I’m far from perfect, I’ll get better with time and experience.

In a way it’s bittersweet though. My grandma used to really be into crafty stuff but since my grandfather died of lung cancer, although it wasn’t mesothelioma in 2000 she’s really fallen into a “I don’t care” attitude and watches tv the majority of time now. She used to make some pretty amazing things, including her own patterns for crocheting blankets and such. Read More »

Interview this morning!

Posted in Work by Manda | 1 Comment »

I had my interview this morning and it went VERY well if I do say so myself. It would be for the night gate shift, 11-7 (I love set hours, no uncertainty) and she said since it’s the night shift the pay is a bit higher. No complaining here. She was the interviewer but she has to discuss it with the camping manager she said. I answered the questions quickly and with confidence, I think I had great answers, and I showed I wanted the job. So we’ll see what happens.

The bad part of the day was waking up to see snow. I seriously thought all this crap was gone. Every window was covered and I managed to get snow in my shoes while trying to brush it off. If I had a truck I know I’d be getting a tonneau coverto protect from this snow. Living in NY where winter can go from Nov-April it’s kind of crucial.
