dogs in yard

Monday, April 28th, 2008

I was approved to get one of the dog in yard signs awhile ago and received it 3 or 4 days ago but haven’t yet hung it up yet. It’s a sign I got online through a company because I was interested in having one to let people know before they approach that there are indeed, dogs in my yard. Two of them who can be very protective and have extremely vicious barks at that. Repairmen, neighbors, and mailmen are amongst those afraid of our fur brats. I got a cobalt blue one, which you can see in the picture below. You can get one too if you want and they will ship now, pay later. They don’t accept credit cards but a check can be mailed in after you receive it. They’ve also got chocolate brown and grass green if blue isn’t your thing. If you have a dog you might be interested in getting one. Oh, it also comes with the mounting hardware so that you can put it up with either brass screws or cable ties (I got the ties). I really like it and my dad can’t wait until he can hang it up. He’s waiting for the weather to get a bit warmer. We got a cold front here recently.

ttc talk

Monday, April 28th, 2008

Randy and I talk a LOT about our future together. We probably discuss it at least once per conversation because well, the here and now isn’t really all that exciting for him. One thing we talk about is having children. It’s something both of us definitely want and in the near future. Once he’s out, we’re in our own place, and has a steady job and income coming in we’re going to begin to start trying. We’re getting married in June so I figure around that time roughly. He wants a girl and I want a boy. Typical clash. I think when we do decide to have a baby I’d like to buy crib bedding that is unisex so I can re-use it when we have another because that price adds up for all the various things you need like the crib, changing table, clothes, all of that. Why do typical pink or blue when you can do something that flies both ways?

Working this weekend! *excited*

Monday, April 28th, 2008

I got a call when I was at the store with mom getting some stuff and my boss called me and asked me to work Friday and Saturday night from 11-7 for training on the gate position. YAY! This means I’m going to have 19 hours this week since i have 4 hours of training. It feels so weird to be working again but it’s going to be AWESOME. A reliable income takes down my stress level immensely, allows me to have some time occupied by working, gives me money to pay off my credit card debt racked up, and even has some play money for things like baby gifts for anyone who might soon be expecting.

splash lagoon resolved

Monday, April 28th, 2008

I ranted a bit on Splash Lagoon yesterday but that’s all done with now. Stacy came over today and we all sat down and put Lisa on the cell on speaker phone and determined we’re definitely going June 1st and getting the cheapest room. It’s only going to be $85 split 3 ways (mom is covering her and I) and then spending money. I’m REALLY excited, moreso for the kids though because Spring Break was somewhat boring for them and this will be a nice way to get out of town and have an awesome time too. Maybe Alexis and I can go shopping together so she can look at some girl’s swimsuits. She probably has a few but most likely they’re packed away for the season and she likes to shop anyways. Me, well, I just don’t have ANYTHING right now. It’s kind of important to get one. Hopefully I can find one somewhat flattering.

addicted to cooking academy

Monday, April 28th, 2008

I’m thoroughly addicted to this game calling Cooking Academy which is by the same people who make Diner Dash and those sorts of games. I’ve also got my cousin, brother, mom, Stacy, and her daughter all hooked on it too. I’ve played it for over 7 hours now, it’s nuts. Not in a row of course but still. Google cooking academy and play, I’m sure you’ll have fun with it too. I’ve got diner dash 1/2/3, sally’s salon, and pet paradise. They also have daycare nightmare which is one where you have little demon babies, vampire babies, and ghost babies who eat, need diaper changes, and fight with each other. Of course they also utilize the baby bedding and take naps like all babies do, albeit very short ones but isn’t that the way things always go? ;)
