It’s too cold and my circulation is crap

Sunday, May 4th, 2008

I’m really irritated with the weather right now. It’s COLD and it was 70-80 like 2 weeks ago. Now? It’s 42 out and we might have a frost. This is crappy. Once we get back into the 70’s I’ll be a happy camper. I’m glad I work in a heated booth though. When it was warm my mom began her plants because she’s doing lettuce, watermelon, and a few others I can’t remember off of the top of my head but they’re getting WAY too big to be in the little indoor greenhouse that wouldn’t even compare to something like a real one with grow lights but I hope it warms up soon so we can get these babies in the garden. Nothing tastes better than some homegrown food and lots of it too! They did tomatoes last year, GROSS. I hope some stuff grows that I actually LIKE this time. I’m picky when it comes to fruits and veggies.

My first weekend is finished

Sunday, May 4th, 2008

Well I completed my first weekend at 7:00am this morning. I really like my job so far. I get there at 11 and leave at 7. My job is to process all the check ins, get them their car tags, and hand out re-entry tags for people to come back in. I take names and make sure that they’re all paid up before I let them inside the gates. It’s VERY slow so far, these entry weekends are. I really do like it though because it’s very low stress and my supervisor is awesome. I can bring in books, puzzle books, notebooks, and I even brought my brother’s PSP last night. I played it for 7 hours. My job is to basically stay awake she said. I’m actually going to like when it picks up so I have more to do. I’m in a booth that has sliding doors and a heater if I need it along with a radio. It’s very cushy I’d say. I wish I was working more so I could be bringing in more money. It’s a much nicer company than working for my prior employer who could’ve done with some commercial lighting to make it look a lot more professional. Maybe they can look at some other businesses and invest. It looks so run down and I’m GLAD that I work elsewhere. It’s also a lot better to have some reasonable management who actually care about their employees. Bring on next weekend!
