Verizon is the worst company ever to deal with
I hate Verizon. HATE THEM. You know all the drama that was going on with his dad claiming fraud on the account and stuff? Well first they told me I need an ID from him to prove that he was authorizing this along with a letter. I told them I couldn’t get an ID but would a notarized letter work? The girl told me yes it would so he sent me that and well I faxed it to them this morning and lo and behold the fax isn’t good enough. They want the original with a raised seal (it’s NOT raised, it’s stamped) and proof that he didn’t get incarcerated until this account was set up. I obviously cannot do this being that he was incarcerated in NOVEMBER. So, I’m basically screwed here and the account is null and void until he gets released in November. Not only that but when I tried to explain to the represntative what was going on she’s like I’m not discussing this any further with you. You have the information you need and hung up on me. Since when is it acceptable to HANG UP on a customer? I wish I could hit her with the many Men’s Drivers available. She could use a golf club right to her head. GOD! I cannot believe the nerve of this company. I might have to just buy a new phone and get added to my mother’s account but it irks me because I paid for this phone and now i cannot even USE it. It’s absolute BULL is what it is. Once the contract is up I’m SO switching to someone else with better customer service.

Ugh, lame. Customer service any more is horrendous. Thank goodness your mom was able to step in!

Ugh. Well, Sprint’s isn’t much better. I mean, they’re friendly enough, but most of the time they get whatever you want done wrong. So, while they’re pleasant to talk to [when you can understand them, as horrible as that sounds], you have to talk to them wayyyy too many times before you actually get the correct thing done.

I don’t know what Verizon’s policy is, but every phone job I’ve EVER worked one of the firmest rules was NEVER release the customers call. The only time we could do it and not get in trouble is if the customer was some gross pervert just calling to hear a woman’s voice (which happened a lot ..especially on Friday) or if the customer used swear words and you warned them three times.
Seriously. That is HORRIBLE customer service. I would’ve called back in and complained because the manager can pull the call and listen to it, and the lady would’ve gotten in trouble.

Have you tried going in and talking to a rep personally in a store? Not sure what they could do for you there, but perhaps they would understand better the situation if you were face to face with someone. I believe all cell phone company employees are pain in the asses to be quite honest and are quick to give you attitude over the dumbest of things.
You are on a contract for which you are paying for, I would keep trying until something can be resolved otherwise they need to let you out of the contract without paying because that’s bull.

I have never dealt with anyone like that and I’ve been with Verizon for 5 years. I think you just got a cranky old bitch…remember to write down names, then call back and ask to speak to a supervisor!
