Pebbles going away
Sunday, July 6th, 2008We might be having Pebbles go to a new home. My aunt’s stepson wants her and while we love all three of our lovely pets, maybe this person would be a better fit for her. We take care of her, feed her, play with her, and give her plenty of love but we also have two other spoiled pets. The problem here is Ryan because he is dead set against it but he doesn’t train her, feed her, water, or take her outside like mom and I do. She’s just a dog to play with when he feels like it. It’s pretty expected for an 11 year old I think. So who knows how that is going to go. We would still be able to visit her like we do with my aunt’s dog who is Pebbles’ sister.
I, for some reason, feel the need to defend my actions because I don’t want other pet lovers to think I’m just handing her off. That’s not the case at all. I recently became a member of zootoo which is a pet social network where pet lovers can connect and they have different promotions to help pet shelters and rescue groups around the country, among which they donate up to $1mil makeover every year to a deserving and community supported shelter. I feel bad when dogs go to shelters because who knows where they’re going to end up.
