Am I the only one who wonders why there is a need for SO many gas stations in such a small area? In the mini city I go to all the time there have got to be over 12 in a 3 mile area. I see no point to this especially since they’re all within 2-3 cents of one another in price. I do go to the more advanced looking ones though, such as the ones that have digital signage and up to date pumps for the credit cards as well. What can I say? Visual appeal draws people in.

When I was a bit younger before electronics took over everything I used to read constantly. I’d even bring my textbooks home and read those for entertainment. I was quite a nerd I’ll admit. With working more often I’ve gotten into a lot of things I hadn’t done recently. I’ve watched more movies in a month than I had in the previous year, read more books than in the past FEW years, and done tons of plastic canvasing as well. Oh, and I’ve been playing lots of games as well but I hadn’t entirely neglected that area of course. Maybe the types have changed a bit. So, who do you read? Any recommendations for good authors?

I don’t know if I mentioned it or not but I’m not fixing my jimmy yet. I don’t really want to deal with having a vehicle right now and since my brother no longer works it’s a lot easier for mom and I to just share like we’ve been doing since November. It’s easier on my pocket as well obviously. It’s going to get fixed when Randy comes home though because it’s his project or so he says. I don’t know the simplest thing about cars so I’ll leave that to his expertise. I know he’s been searching for auto catalogs so he can get accessories and spiff up the truck. Maybe he’ll get a steering rack as well, I have no idea. He hasn’t disclosed his plans completely yet with me. I don’t think he even knows just yet and at times I’m just like whatever and let everything fly over my head.

It seems like summer is coming to an end already even though there is a full month and a half left. Maybe I’m just fearful because I like my steady income and I know it will be dwindling once summer is gone. I’m not sure yet what I’m going to do then because not many places hire and it took me 4 months to find a job in the first place. I need to keep income coming in though because I have credit card debts that need to be paid. I’m honestly thinking that I’ll look into balance transfers to consolidate and make everything easier to pay off. It’s going to take awhile but as Randy says take care of things a little at a time. The different debts are like cuts and they need to be bandaged but one at a time as to not overwhelm yourself. I like that philosophy.

Today I’m supposed to go pick up my dresser with an attached closet. I’m getting it because mine is a piece of junk and I’ll be able to store more stuff in it which will definitely be needed when Randy comes home and his clothes come out of the totes (which I need to buy another of today). I wouldn’t mind browsing through a furniture catalog to get a few more items. I’m excited for when I’m going to be able to have my own house so I can decorate and customize it to my liking. I think it’s pretty safe to say my mom and I have very different tastes.
