Lifestyle change attempt number 342873403

Friday, July 18th, 2008

I’m making a new attempt at healthy living but this time I think I’ve got something that I’ll be able to follow. I’m in LOVE with the salads at burger king so I’ve been eating them instead of regular fast food. Their grilled chicken is delicious. So i decided to buy the stuff and make my own. I’ll be eating two salads a day, lunch and dinner, and cheerios and milk for breakfast. (Skim of course). My salads will have grilled chicken, carrots, weight watchers cheese, croutons, and lowfat ranch dressing. I measure out portions and everything so I don’t go overboard. At the moment I just grilled up 2 1/2 lbs of chicken and am in the process of splitting it into 1/4 pound baggies so I have my meals all week long without having to cook every single time. I also bought yogurt and 100 calorie pudding so I’ll have one with my salad depending on what I’m in the mood for. I really think this is going to work since there is room for variety. My goal is 250 by the time Randy comes home in about 4 months so I’ve got about 25 pounds to lose at the moment. Wish me luck!

Credit card searches

Most people nowadays are up to their heads in credit card debt. They’re overwhelmed by all the payments they have to make and due dates. Some have tens of thousands of dollars that they owe to major credit card companies. I fell victim to that but they do come in handy I will admit for those emergencies. The problem is when they are used all the time and then not paid off every single month. I mainly use debit now since I throw the money in the bank and then spend it because I’ve actually got the money in hand to be spending.

If you don’t have a credit card though and think you could benefit from having one either for emergencies or to build up credit then you might want to check out the Best Credit Card Shopping Mall that I’ve come across, cardhub.com. They put all the credit cards in one location similar to places that provide travel information like flights and hotels. It’s a pain to go from site to site looking for the best deal. At cardhub they allow you to specify what is most important in a credit card whether it’s something like balance transfers or overall interest rate. The layout is also very appealing and easy to navigate in comparison to a few other sites that I’ve seen which offer the same service. We all like the convenience right? I know I certainly do. Check it out if you’re in the market.

nerves going haywire

I ran my errands today and feel completely broke. I did end up buying like 5 pair of pants on ebay though so I ought to be set for the winter with the combination of what I already own of course. I got some more clothes for Randy too, I don’t want to have to stock up right when he’s ready to come home. It will be too much of a financial issue then. Speaking of homecoming, I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t completely 100% nervous right now and my stomach gets in huge knots everytime I think about his hearing next week. Gah, it needs to be done and over with so the uncertainty can disappear into space. I have the phone off right now and am saving money to add to the account maybe tuesday so that I can talk to him right when he’s going to get his decision. *excited but scared*
