Computer parts

Saturday, July 26th, 2008

I’ve finally decided on which computer parts I’m buying for Randy’s computer and next week is the first week I”m going to begin buying stuff for it. I’m buying his case next week which is approximately $60 and identical to mine but he’s got blue LEDs instead of green. It’s about $10 more for blue because I guess they’re either in higher demand or more costly to make. I didn’t know that until my friend mentioned it to me. Then the week after I’ll probably get his RAM and I know at the end of August I’m splurging on the motherboard which is his most expensive part I need to get. I could buy myself something nice like jewelry but I’m a geeky girl. I love me some electronics and I don’t ever see that changing. At least not anytime soon.

Weight loss scams again of course

Saturday, July 26th, 2008

It makes me sad to go and see things like Leptovox reviews which claim that these weight loss products actually work and they lost weight. If anything water weight is lost and it will be gained right off. It’s most definitely not going to stay off and god knows what is in these products that makes them so miraculous. Weight loss pills are just a multi billion dollar/year scam to those gullible enough to believe that they can circumvent the only way to actually lose weight which we all know is to eat healthy and exercise. It’s not going to be easy and it never will be.

I’m pathetically out of shape

Saturday, July 26th, 2008

I am SO incredibly out of shape. I guess that is one of the reasons I went and bought a bike yesterday. Then I can bike small distances to build up my stamina a bit. I got a seat cover for it but it’s still not very comfortable to sit on. Whatever though, I’m not complaining. I have a $68 cheap bike that will allow me to go off if I want to. I find biking to be a lot more fun than walking. I get bored doing that and it’s still cardio exercise. I don’t think today it matters though because I feel like I’m 43074 lbs due to bloating. I hate being a woman sometimes I swear. Guys have it so easy.

Stem cell gains

Saturday, July 26th, 2008

Nothing is static in today’s world. There are changes in everything whether it’s celebrity news, sports, deaths and births, new discoveries, a new found fact about an item, or even things in medical research as well. Some things are bad like discovering new causes of cancer or methods of transmission for diseases but then again occasionally we get the burst of good news that explains ways to prevent or cure diseases. One thing that has been a hot topic is the use of stem cells in order to learn more about osteoporosis, heart disease, stroke, or Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s disease. Many medical researchers feel that stem cells are the way to go in order to find cures for these devastating diseases which strike upon millions of people every single year. I’m not going to debate about whether the use of stem cells is right or wrong because I’m honestly not that well informed about the whole debate surrounding it but from what I have read I think there is a lot of potential in using and studying them.

There is a compnay offering a very private way for a woman to harvest her own stem cells called C’elle. It’s a non invasive way for a woman who wants to store her stem cells by collecting menstrual blood to be able to do so. Then they are preserved by being placed in extremely cold temperatures and someday may be very useful to her if she ends up with something like Parkinson’s or Alzheimer’s later on in life. It’s a fast, painless, and stress free way for someone to take control of her own future in a way that she may desire. You can read more information about the company and process and even read up on a C’elle Client Testimonial online as well if you’re interested in obtaining more information about the whole thing.

I personally would have to read up a bit more on it to discover if it’s something that I would pursue getting more information about. I wouldn’t go into it blindly of course just like anything that someone dives into knowledge is needed first.

A yummy dinner and icky cramps

Saturday, July 26th, 2008

I made stuffed shells for dinner tonight and they are mm mmm good. I used ricotta cheese with sausage for the stuffing and used ragu sauce. Then I topped it all with a 6 cheese mix from sargento. I also added some basic, oregano, parsley, and pepper to my ricotta and sausage mixture. I could eat ricotta out of the container like some people eat cottage cheese. Mmm mmm mm.

On a sidenote I have massive cramps and I’m in SO much pain. I hate the first two days because I always feel like I’m being repeatedly bunched in the abdomen area. The only saving grace to this is that I won’t have to deal with it all when I’m camping which is what I really wanted to avoid. I think I’m going to go search for some Ibuprofin to ease this up a bit.
