I love piercings and tattoos as well. I’ve had 5 piercings since I began getting into them in February of 2007.

I got my left eyebrow done in February of 2007 which I still have. It was an impulse decision and set the grounds for my future piercing addiction. It was mediocre in pain, I’d rate it a 4 out of 10 but the healing was the longest period becuase it kept getting bumped/snagged. Unfortunately for me I had to retire this on January 22nd, 2008 when I had appendicitis and was too drugged on morphine to put the piercing back in the day after surgery and it closed up. I’m getting it re-done (maybe 2 side by side) sometime soon.

Then I got my tongue done in February a week later. I was really scared of this one because hello, it’s my tongue here. The pain scale was… maybe a 6. I actually flinched and was somewhat in shock when it happened. The worst part was healing because I couldn’t even stick my tongue out of my mouth for about a week when he put the smaller bar in. However, the healing was the quickest out of all my piercings and I haven’t had a single issue with it. (Except gum tends to get wrapped around the lower ball.

Then I decided to get my lip in March. This hurt the most because the ring didn’t want to go in at all so he had to play around with it a bit. I loved it (although Randy didn’t, he said it got in the way of kissing me) but one time when I was eating I somehow managed to bite the ball on the ring and it came out. I wasn’t able to get the ring back in myself either and my piercer was closed so unfortunately I let it close up.

In October I got my labret done as a mini birthday present to myself. I liked it but I managed to bite it quite a few times and since I got it pierced with a mini the back of it so it kept coming through the front. Since the jewelry wasn’t staying in I got quite frustrated with it. I took that one out as well.

On March 6th, 2008 I decided to get my lip re-done and did it in the center instead of the right side. Pain was minimal for the piercing. I’d say a 2 out of 10. Healing is going rather well, I’ll be switching from a horseshoe to a CBR sometime soon.

Future piercings: 2 in my eyebrow, maybe labrets on each side, possibly my nipples (this is a toss up, Randy is opposed). We’ll see. Piercings are addicting.

I also got my first tattoo done in February which you can see below. The quote says “I love you more than words can say” and it’s dedicated to Randy. I just recently (December 28th) I decided to get the second one which says “True love comes along once in a lifetime” with “RSRJ for life’ inside of the heart.

Future tattoos: A memorial tattoo on my shoulder blade most likely of a guitar with my uncle and grandfather’s names in it. Something on my ankle, undecided at this point.
