My brother finally began building his computer and he got his case which cost like $70. I’m glad because I don’t want to have to deal with computer fighting once Randy comes home, it IS afterall his computer that Rob is using. He’s going to have to spend quite a bit more to get it finished though. I’m saying close to $600 by the time he’s done depending on what he skimps on. He’s going to get 4 gigs of memory, an AMD processor, he’s using his 256 vid card I already bought him, same HD, a nice MOBO that’s close to or over $100 and a kickbutt power supply as well. He’s trying to compete with me here and he’s going to win, unfortunately for me. :-p That’s alright, then he’ll stop hopping on mine when I’m not home for his little gaming needs. I still win with a monitor though, I’ve got a flat panel and he’s using an ancient CRT. :-p

I had to let my brother have Randy’s computer last night because his went bye bye. He restarted for a Windows update and now when he goes to boot it up he gets an orange light and a black screen. No green light but the system fan and PSU come on. Say what? So I felt bad and he’s going to start building his custom PC now that he really has a reason to. He’s got a video card and hard drive already so his parts are going to cost him about $600 for what he wants. He said if he cuts corners a bit he might also get an lcd monitor to go along with it but he’s not sure yet. It won’t matter anyways because sometime later this summer I’ll be beginning Randy’s custom computer as well so we can both game when he gets home. Fun wow right?

I’m getting a new phone on Friday probably since Verizon is refusing to re-open his account until he gets out which is obviously November. My mom is adding me to her plan and since it’s a new line I’m eligible for the reduced pricing so I think I’m going to get the env2 since I’ve heard some pretty good things about it and it’s slimmer. I might as well go newer you know? I’m tempted to look into maybe getting internet satellite as well so that I have access to the net 24/7 since I’m such an addict. It’s alright though, I like my life for the most part.

I’m sitting here going through old VCR tapes looking for an old movie that I taped on Lifetime like… 10 years ago minimum. I managed to do that yesterday with a different one after only 2 attempts. Then I recorded it to DVD but THAT took 3 attempts because occasionally the tape went out from a bad part on the track and it made my DVD go haywire so one DVD has 3 different tracks on it that is really one movie. It’s so interesting to see what movies we taped and stuff. Having to rewind and fast forward tapes makes me so grateful for things like satellite communications, high speed internet, DVD players, and a lot more things that we see nowadays as necessities instead of luxuries only. Computers come to mind mainly.

I do NOT? feel good right now. I woke up like 34073 times this morning and refused to get out of bed because I felt SO craptacular. I finally did get out of bed at 2:30 when my mom asked me to go to grandma’s with her. My head is killing me with my sinuses and pressure, my nose is running, I’ve sneezed like 20 times in 5 hours and my throat is burning from nasal drip. My grandma gave me zyrtec because it’s the only thing that works for me but my goooooosh. This needs to go away like, yesterday. I once had one of these that knocked me on my ass for like 2 weeks. I hope this is a quickly passing one.

I got my laptop power cord today and my laptop WORKS thankfully. It’s installing XP right now and then I’m going to be upgrading to Vista afterwards. I can’t do vista right away because it gives me issues and there are a few fixes and settings I need to tweak to make it install thankfully. So for tonight I’m going to be lazy and bask in my glory that is nonexistant.
