Well I got an email back from the computer guy and I guess miscommunication ended up along the lines. Jay fixed it and the output on the adapter was too much for the laptop I guess and the extra heat caused the solder points to mess up. Jay resoldered the board and then I guess Tom was supposed to relay the fact that I needed to replace the adapter to me. I was never told this when I okayed the repair. I paid $120 for the repair, if I would’ve known that the adapter needed to be replaced I wouldn’t have done it. A new adapter (I guess the aftermarket one actually screwed with my mobo) through Sony would’ve been $89.99. I cannot afford that.
So after some strongly worded emails we’ve determined Tom is looking for an adapter for me to “price” I guess. I’m NOT paying for this. I refuse to do it and I want a refund for what he did on my motherboard because like I said before the cost is too much. I can buy a brand new laptop for $439 or something. A lower end one, which is what my laptop was used for. I paid $868 for this, which is why I wanted it fixed. I’m still steaming b/c I’m going to get screwed here, I really am and there’s not a single thing I can do about it. He’s already got my $120.
I’m waiting for the next email to see where we can go from here. I really needed my laptop before going to MD and now I’m not going to have it.

Well just call me the grumpy care bear or dwarf because this irritation is never ending right now. NOW the car slider mechanism that makes the driver seat slide back? It broke somehow which means I can’t drive ANYWHERE. Mom drives with her boobs right up against the steering wheel and it almost touching her stomach. I can’t do that, I need to be slid ALL the way back so my legs have room to move when I’m driving and I can not feel confined. I think it has to do with claustrophobia. My legs are also about 4 inches longer than hers. So, this could mean I can’t see Randy when the time comes unless I’m prepared to drive 2 1/2 hours each way in a very uncomfortable position.
As a result of the previous, mom had to take me in this morning to drop my computer off AGAIN. He messed with the adapter, checked voltages on everything and guess what? It’s FINE just like Jay stated so now I have to wait until Jay goes in later this afternoon because tom doesn’t deal with laptops. Hmm. They have my cell # though and they know I’m quite unhappy and was intending on taking it on a trip with me to MD so… it better not sit waiting. They’re going to get a call at 4:30 and every half hour until 6. It BETTER be fixed.
I also haven’t received a letter from Randy since Saturday and that was an old one. I’m beginning to think he’s slipping away and today also marks 1 weeks since we’ve talked on the phone. I hate this, I hate GTL. I hate a lot of things right now and I just want to *EXPLODE*.

Well I managed to get my cell phone activated and working now. I bypassed the social security activation by talking to somebody. So now I can use my lovely enV without any problems. I’ve only been using it for one day and there’s so much to learn about it. *excitement*AIM me: silvergirl0007 or msn *@ hotmail.com* if you want my number.
However, we’ve got other problems in paradise now. Randy hasn’t called me ALL day long AND GTL is again telling me that my phone company blocked the line but they’ve pulled this garbage many times and guess what, they lied b/c the block was on THEIR end but they just wanted me to set up an account. I guess the prisons are switching to another phone company and I cannot WAIT to be done. This GTL business is enough to give someone an ulcer from stress.
My brothers are home for their spring break and things are crazy because they keep fighting over electronics. We’ve got a wii, ps3, 2 ps2s, 2 PSPs, 5 computers, and satellite TV in 3 different rooms and they STILL argue over the same one. It’s absolutely ridiculous! The only thing we’re missing is the extremely techy stuff like a KVM switch. On the weekends we usually have 2 Xbox360’s here too because my cousins come over and they all have gaming conventions in the living room. I’m sure they wouldn’t mind having an HDTV to go along with it.

I got my new phone today but I can’t use it because the Verizon system isn’t letting me activate it. The account is in Randy’s name and under his social, I have his social security number and you need the last 4 digits to activate the phone. I’m putting those in along with the billing zip code and guess what, no dice. It’s giving me an error for some screwy reason. It’s quite frustrating and a representative won’t talk to me about it because he’s not here to speak directly to them. So when he calls tonight I’m going to ask him to verify it for me and if it’s the right one I have written down then I’m going to try talking to them AGAIN and if I can’t do anything they’ll get their phone mailed back to them and that contract will be nixed. I’m so incredibly irritated with them right now. I’d like to begin using my phone since I don’t know… I did just PAY for it.
Otherwise I had an appointment at mental health today that went well I guess, I’m supposed to write down a chart of “I think this.. therefore I feel that” and write now I’ve got a whole slew of anger going on for frustrating systems. We had to run errands today as well which is long and exhausting. Mom bought a bunch of healthy food because I’m going to try to follow the spark people meal plan laid out for this week. We’ll see if it makes any difference along with exercising of course.
Randy and I talked last night about our wedding, I think we’ve decided on June 2009 and we’re doing it at the park. We discussed who we’d want to be in the wedding party and then we got onto the topic of rings. I’ve shown everybody what mine is going to look like, but if you want a reminder check out my flickr. It’s a little over $250. Randy was thinking that he makes $40/month at his “job” in there so he’ll have either just enough or more than enough to be able to afford the ring as soon as he gets out. I think it’s cute that he wants to save up while he’s in there like that. He wanted me to look for some rings for him but there are so many varieties that I’m not sure whether to look at titanium rings, gold, silver, or anything. I think that’s something we’re going to worry about once he gets out and can pick his own.
Right now I’m just ready to flip my top. My anger level is sky high over this ridiculous system not working.

I’ve been having a lot of issues lately with Vista and I think tonight I’m going to put the effort in and go back down to XP. *le sigh* It’s going to be a crapload of irritating work though. I hate backing up everything and all that but I’m sick of not being able to print, use office, or even use Adobe. EVERY time I try to do any of those I have to wait 5-10 minutes for the program to respond and if I get lucky it will respond. It took me 30 minutes one day to write a letter in word and print it. *headdesk* XP it is. Vista… bye bye. We’ll talk again in the future if I feel like it. My computer should be able to handle you. I have a 2.3ghz dual core processor with 4 gigs of RAM. I hate you.
I’m contemplating finding the resources to build another custom PC and sell it on ebay to see if it warrants any results. If it does, well, that would rock but if not oh well. It’s a risk I’d be willing to take. Mom is looking like she’s going to be getting $1800 when those rebates come through and she’s giving me $100 of it to make 2 visits to Randy and she’s thinking that maybe she’ll buy an HDTV since ours is about 7 years old. I wouldn’t complain of course. If we do we might have to invest in HDMI switches so that we can keep all our devices such as the DVD player, ps3, and anything else we may be buying hooked up to it and can switch in between whatever device we’re using at the moment.
