Today has been a pretty interesting/fun day. I didn’t go to bed last night for one so everything is a bit cooky when you’re super tired like right now. But at least I’ll be in bed at like 10 or 11 tonight. I watched American Pie 5 the naked mile and it was LAME. The movies always are when the original actors are replaced. I came downstairs at about 7 and Layla was outside so I let Pebbles out with her for a bit and like 10 minutes later they’re both 1/2 mile down the road! SO Ryan and I took the leashes and chased them down. Layla had to be caught by the tail and pebbles was exhausted but muddy from going in the ditch so I made her walk back instead of carrying her. Then I made the poor dog take a bath because she stunk and well, here was the result.

Immediately after the bath

About 15 minutes afterwards

It’s taking me forever to upload these pictures right now. I love living in the country at times and options are limited in terms of pretty much anything. You take what you can get. If we were to have an internet satellite out here I’m sure many people would take advantage of that. I know my aunt lives so far out all she can get is dial up still! *dies a little inside* I’d never be online then, NO patience for that.

Sports are pretty big in a lot of households. I know here it’s all about football but at college my roommate was an absolute freak about all the hockey games that were going on. Still others prefer baseball, wrestling, or even boxing as their sport of choice for entertainment. The sports that we choose to play vary from those we watch. Like me for example, I don’t play football but watch it religiously every Sunday from August until the end of January up until Superbowl Sunday. However at family functions we like to play baseball and especially volleyball for the pure fun and silly factor.

A lot of sporting events are on paid television. Not only cable and satellite but require pay-per-view. They can be pretty often or as rare as once in awhile. My dad and brother get a PPV wrestling event every single month that gets anticipated throughout the month and built up with every show they watch. On a boxing note though, did you know that the rematch between De La Hoya/Mayweather rematch is going to be happening in September? It seems like awhile away but now that it’s May there are only a few more months. It was originally scheduled for May but Oscar has decided he wants the September 13 or 20th (date still being negotiated) match. If you’re into boxing you might look into purchasing a few Floyd Mayweather Jr. vs Oscar De La Hoya tickets so instead of viewing on PPV you can see all the action live.

It’s being built up a lot as you can tell, since it’s public information months ahead of time. If you want more information all it takes is a quick web search on any search engine and you will find a whole slew of it. So, *ding ding* let the boxing begin!

Well since Maryland wasn’t so hot for any of us, we’re planning another trip for May 25th to Splash Lagoon in Erie, PA only about 2 1/2 hours from here. I’m ecstatic. It’s an indoor water park, you can google splash lagoon if you want to see exactly what is there. There would be 8 of us going and splitting the cost 3 ways. The kids would have a blast with laser tag, arcade games, the water park which is kept at 84 degrees, and we’re getting a hotel room for the night. They can go into the park for 2 days and the hours are from 9am-9pm. I may not look the greatest in a bathing suit but I’m sure going to attempt to have a great time. I love going on vacation. :) Not so sure about getting there though. We’re taking two vehicles down and 4 per vehicle but there’s always people who pack too much stuff. Perhaps we should look into getting some Briggs and Riley travel gear to fit more stuff into a smaller space. The kids are excited and so are we. I’m just hoping that we all follow through on it. :)

I know a lot goes on with my life and it’s kind of hard to follow sometimes but I want to thank you all for being so supportive, understanding, and just there for me when I need a shoulder to lean on. I really appreciate it, especially those of you who I’m getting to know outside of blogs (AIM, MSN) because it’s quite comforting.

So, I’ll try to list what is going on exactly in all sorts of my life. If anyone has any questions about ANYTHING regarding well.. ANYTHING feel free to either comment and ask or IM me if you want. I’m not a private person, I’m pretty much open to discussing anything whatsoever.

  • I’m going to be working at the hotel campground nights from 11-7 starting VERY soon. I took and passed my drug test today. The park goes full time in June and weekends in May.
  • Randy’s divorce is on step 2. He’s been granted an index number and I’m going to be his summoner, once I deliver the papers she has 40 days to respond or it’s automatically granted
  • Once his divorce is granted we’re going to beginning our wedding plans full swing and set a date and all that. We’re tossing some ideas around, he’s more into it than I am. It’s cute though, it’s really nice to have him 100% involved in the planning and enthusiastic. So far we’ve decided on getting married at the local county park, who is going to be in our wedding parties (if they accept of course), colors of blue and white, my ring is picked out, and we’re doing all the food on our own. He wanted me to pick out his ring and I’ve been browsing sites like tungsten rings which has a whole variety of mens rings from wedding to ones with diamonds or inlays. They’ve got other rings for men as well too. However, I think I’m going to let him pick it out. I don’t want to make the wrong decision. More about wedding plans when the day comes closer. It’s going to be in June of ‘09 though. I think on one of our following visits I’m going to actually take a napkin and write on it all our other wedding decisions so I have something on paper. Maybe I’ll even send him some printouts from tungsten rings so he can pick one out beforehand. I’m OCD a bit, I like things to be organized and written down a lot of the time.
  • Court for Dillion is the 24th at 11am. Mom has agreed to take me down and we’ve talked about finances, babysitting, living… anything the judge would ask and we’ve got all the details worked out and mom is fully onboard with me getting custody of him and doing anything she can to help and support it

Well Ryan and I both successfully started our “diet” or lifestyle change as you can say. We’re using a sparkpeople meal plan and exercise regimen. He’s eating right now and I’m helping him measure out portions and such. We both need this, him especially considering he’s only 11 and it’s impossible to find clothes that fit him. No more pop and junk food. Thankfully mom is being supportive and buying all the healthy food. I don’t think I’ve ever seen that much produce in our refridgerator.

I’m about to go on a walk that will hopefully last an hour for my cardio for the day. We’ll see how it ends up. Then I need to do strength training since it’s a MWF deal. Afterwards I’m going to be doing some relaxation and maybe watch a movie with our surround sound system it’s pretty nice. Since we skipped out on the HDTV this year I think next year we’re going to get that. Paired with the surround sound, an HD/LCD TV, and maybe some home theater lighting our living room will be the place to be around here. Our house already is electronically, let’s max it out a bit more shall we?
