Every Thursday evening or Friday morning I try to compile in my head a list of things that need to be done on payday and where all my money needs to be allocated. I have a ton of behind bills due to not working for 4 months. I got a settlement offer on one today for $210 on a $535 balance so I think I’m going to suck it up and pay it so that I’ll be all set with that one. I can do a little at a time, right? Don’t want to overwhelm myself.

Just for kicks I went and took a quiz to get my BillsIQ and I’m honestly not surprised. I got a 77% aka a C. A lot of it didn’t apply because I don’t have a steady job to start investing for retirement or life insurance but my bills need to be caught up like I said I already know that. Right now I’ll admit I’m not paying as much as I COULD be but I’m also not sinking further into debt either. I’m slowly digging out. I’d like to avoid getting overly stressed about anything because then i’ll just make myself miserable and god knows there is enough going on in life to stress about without adding to any of it. You could go and take yours as well just to see where you stand. They’ve also got some nice tips if you’re looking for a bit of advice on your financial situation.

I get wayyyy too excited about my canvasing. I love the feeling when I create a new building or project and today at Joann’s I found a hometown villages book and I just about wet myself. It has some CUTE stuff in it. Perfect timing too considering my Christmas village is close to being done. I cannot waiiiiit to start on these ones. I also finished up my wall project AND managed to buy a 35 gallon tote to organize my closer since they stack so easily. Nice to way remain somewhat organized. Things get scattered when moving from room to room (yes, the mess is still there from December) but when you move your entire house you might want to look into mover NYC if going to NYC to keep your stuff in order so it doesn’t get skewed or broken. We’ve also decided on June 30th as the day we’re going to the amusement park and otherwise this week is all about working and earning my awesome $$$. I managed to get on another payment plan with a credit card company SO 1 more down, 42307343 to go right? I’m trying, one bill at a time.

Well last night gave me a worry, Randy didn’t call for the first time in a month. The phone was blocked and until 4:30 today it continued to be blocked. He called and just, ugh. I’m so sick of Global Tel Link. They need to makeup their damned mind, block it or don’t. I’m going to go prepaid once I start working though so I don’t have to worry about whether it’s gonna happen or not.

As a result of the above, calls are being reduced to 1 a day right before bed so 8:30/9:00. That will be almost $100/month for calls. Meh. I think I’m going to stop visiting after this week as well. I could use that $40-$50 I spend on visits for half a month of phone calls. I need to de-stress, maybe this way will work. Mom and I ran errands today and I got vitamins from my doctor since I’ve been sleeping about 10-11 hours a night and I’m STILL exhausted all day long. I also got tested since the thing happened with John I wanted to be safe. In 2 weeks I go back so we can discuss the results. Confidentiality doesn’t allow phone calls for that. Lame.

I’m ready to start work, life is boring right now.

Well in 27 minutes it’s going to be April. I’m not complaining. That’s one month closer to November which is the month of gold for us. Oh, and we’re at 241 days as of April 1st or 7 months, 3 weeks, and 6 days. Either way you’d like to put it works. ;) I have a gyno appt to get tested on Thursday and the 3 thursdays after that I’m in mental health for counseling/psych evaluation for meds. Mom’s birthday and Pat’s court date are also this month. Whew, busy busy!

I got a voicemail on our house # from the interviewer today at 3:20pm but we don’t answer unknown calls which is why we didn’t answer. So tomorrow when I get up I’m going to call her back but I’m assuming I got the job since she called back. *dancing* That excites me. Especially because it’s a mere 2-3 miles away and gas is approaching $3.50/gallon. Cheaper and saves me time. If I work at 11pm I’m gone at 10:45 and still early. Oh, it’s an 11-7 night gate position for the campground btw.

I’ve determined that I want to come and see you soon Jenn. You’re about 40 miles longer than Randy was when he was in Summit so it’s not THAT long of a drive. We need to talk and work something out. For real. Offer is open to anyone else in the vicinity as well..

Randy and I reduced calls down to 2 a day, it’s rough but we’re adjusting pretty well. I canvased a lot of today and almost have the Hufflepuff side of my box done! You know you’re too into it when you make mom to go walmart at 8:30 at night for 3 skeins of yarn. I think I’m up to about 15 now, not too shabby. I’m going to get a dark blue and maybe orange on Thursday. I’m a dork, I know.

Oh, and I’m going to start using MSN again so add me if you wish. silvergirl0007[at]hotmail.com

I think this topic deserves it’s own post. Randy and I also talked about Dillion a lot last night and we’ve determined at this point in time fighting for him isn’t going to get any results. Carrie has a leg up because she isn’t in prison and legally Randy really can’t do too much of ANYTHING. So, at this point we’re going to focus on getting ourselves established and once he gets out we are going to live here for a few months to build up financially. He has 3 months to get a job once he gets out (parole standards) and I’d like to have a cushion in savings first so we don’t stress. Then we’re going to look into finding a place to live but I’d rather look into mortgage lenders for financing rather than renting because… there are so many more perks and it’s more satisfying to own your own home as opposed to renting and dealing with landlords. You can get some pretty crappy ones out there.

Once that is set in stone we’re going to push for visitation at first and see how things go. If we see anything that is harmful to Dillion by living with Carrie then we’re going to take action to try to gain full custody. Right now he’s focusing on the divorce because he realizes how much it bothers me. He should be at the law library from 1-4 today since they have notaries and legal assistance for inmates there. I’m crossing my fingers that he can get the ball rolling on this.
