I went shopping today and spent WAYYYYYYY too much money for my own good that I probably shouldn’t have. I got some canvas, needles (4), hot glue gun, glue sticks, 3 skeins of yarn I needed, an exacto knife, black ink for our printer so I can mail out the divorce and parole information, an envelope for that, printer paper, a pair of PJ pants on clearance, tissues, 2 picture frames, annnnnd some code red mountain dew. I spent like $60 total. Bah! I can now finish up the majority of my Christmas village. My church is I’d say 85% complete and I need to glue a few things right now and finish the yard and fence up before i start the general store which is quite a bit bigger. I’m so excited to get back into this though!

Next month is father’s day. Like I said, time is really speeding up. It’s also dad’s birthday next month as well. It’s not really a big deal honestly because birthdays get boring once you get older. I never know what to buy him because he doesn’t really do too much outside of work, reading his paper, and the occasional game of solitaire on the computer. I could maybe look into titanium rings but I’m not quite sure he’d wear one. He doesn’t even wear his wedding band but he could’ve lost that. Maybe I’ll just stick with getting him his favorite kind of food or something.
Well today is the day we decide what happens with Dillion. I’m so uncertain about a ton of things like what the judge is going to say about me and him being engaged while he’s married (although they’re separated), his prison impacting the custody, whether or not they’re going to even consider what we want, and most importantly how is he doing? At 11:00am I’m going to find out. It’s 7:30 and mom and I are both showered and ready to go but waiting for dad’s check to arrive so we can. I’ve always got this whole nerve thing going on right now but it’s even worse right now. I’m wearing khaki pants, a polo, and my vans skater shoes because it’s not like I own any Gucci women’s shoes or anything like that. I’ve always been a plain person and have a very relaxed and simple dress style. However, it wouldn’t hurt to own a pair of Gucci women’s shoes for special occasions or ones where professional attire may be required. Perhaps once I start working I’ll look into it a bit more.
I have been using Windows for years now, XP mainly, and never really played with Windows Movie Maker until today and I spent about an hour creating a video on why buy.com rocks. I had fun with it using different effects and images. Couldn’t quite find a good song to fit in though but that’s alright and file size remained low without sacrificing quality. I like to plan ahead for gifts so I’m not rushing around last minute to come up with something to buy. It’s no secret that I hate shopping in stores anyways due to crowds, time, etc.. so buy.com is a great solution. I buy what I need, avoid the hassle of shopping, and everyone is happy! This also works for the holidays coming up like mother’s day and father’s day as well. It seems like everything is creeping up, right around the corner. Without further ado, here are the results.
Thanks to the lovely Reese I now have a new layout up. I was getting sick of the purple and black, well, not really but the black isn’t exactly light and airy like spring is. With the changing of the seasons I thought it was time for a new look. I don’t know how to get the flickr code though, if anyone could let me know how to do that I’d greatly appreciate it. Unless it’s a paid account only thing, in which case, I’m S.O.L.
Speaking of change, my mom has been talking about making changes to the house. I recently painted my bedroom and got a new bed set (I PROMISE pics are coming as soon as I get my new bed AND my wall of pictures done). She wants to paint and border her room, maybe get some different carpet, and we definitely need to get some new windows and doors. Ours are horrible for insulation and let SO much cold air in. Maybe when we get a new door we’ll go with Schlage doorhandles to spice up the look.
