Pictures from the park
Posted by Manda on May 14th, 2008 filed in Entertainment, Pics
Well in the previous post I mentioned that I went to the park and our park is located in the woods pretty much. It was really fun playing on the equipment, looking at nature, smelling the fresh air, walking the trails, and you’ve gotta love getting bit my mosquitoes! We acted like such little kids on the equipment but omg I had so much fun in that hour or so. Then on the way back home we stopped at the deli and I had an amazingly delicious hot fudge Sunday. O-M-G it hit the spot I tell you. I’m going to post a few of my favorites here but you can view the rest on my flickr which can be accessed via the sidebar. I need to upgrade to a pro account, I’ve got over 300 photos now and only 200 will show.

Puppy does not like baths
Posted by Manda on May 14th, 2008 filed in Entertainment, Pets, Pics
Today has been a pretty interesting/fun day. I didn’t go to bed last night for one so everything is a bit cooky when you’re super tired like right now. But at least I’ll be in bed at like 10 or 11 tonight. I watched American Pie 5 the naked mile and it was LAME. The movies always are when the original actors are replaced. I came downstairs at about 7 and Layla was outside so I let Pebbles out with her for a bit and like 10 minutes later they’re both 1/2 mile down the road! SO Ryan and I took the leashes and chased them down. Layla had to be caught by the tail and pebbles was exhausted but muddy from going in the ditch so I made her walk back instead of carrying her. Then I made the poor dog take a bath because she stunk and well, here was the result.
Immediately after the bath

About 15 minutes afterwards

It’s taking me forever to upload these pictures right now. I love living in the country at times and options are limited in terms of pretty much anything. You take what you can get. If we were to have an internet satellite out here I’m sure many people would take advantage of that. I know my aunt lives so far out all she can get is dial up still! *dies a little inside* I’d never be online then, NO patience for that.

Remodeling the windows
Posted by Manda on May 13th, 2008 filed in Uncategorized
I’m currently sitting at this desk and freezing. Yes, it’s 56F out and that’s not really cold but it’s a tad bit chilly I’d say. The problem is that the window doesn’t go down all the way and I honestly couldn’t tell you why. 80% of the windows in this house are ancient and don’t have screens on them and the frames are just old looking. We could definitely use a remodel but since we don’t rent or own (included with dad’s job) we don’t feel we should spend the money to do so. It’s not OUR house you know? I think we need to get the plastic off of all of the windows though since i think it’s safe to say winter is over. Maybe if we could get dad’s boss to pay for it we’d replace the windows and maybe get some nice shades to go along with them.

New layout needed
Posted by Manda on May 13th, 2008 filed in WWW
It seems like I just put this layout up semi recently buuut I’m getting bored of it already. I love the sidebar because I’m a sidebar fan and I like the room I have and the header is nice but it’s a little too dark for the season. Spring is turning into summer and I need to find something that strikes me as light and airy but not too girly. I think I’m going to do some googling to find out my options or look into some other designs of peoples’ layouts I’ve used before. I sound like I’m a detective here in search of the big bad layout fairy who should be coming to deliver me some goodies. Sorry, I’m silly tonight. *goes back to jamming out to some sixx am*

Fundraising ideas
Posted by Manda on May 13th, 2008 filed in Uncategorized
Being in school I saw many fundraisers for various things like class activities or sports events. It wasn’t unfamiliar to see class of 2005 this or that when I was graduating. It takes quite a bit of money to carry out things for that many people, whether it’s a team of 20-30 people or a class of 120. I’ve seen people do bake sales, those bracelets like the yellow ones they did for Armstrong, and another good idea is to do custom car magnets so that parents and students alike can show their support for their organization of choice. I miss being in school sometimes and regret not being involved in as many activities as I could’ve been in. I pretty much stuck myself in a shell and let everything pass me by.
