What do your meals consist of?

What did the girl oyster say to the boy oyster?

“You never open up to me.”

Corny eh? A lot of jokes are. What do you and your family eat a lot of for meals? We eat a lot of chicken, steak, and hamburger with sides consisting of vegetables along with a type of rice or potato. Nothing too extravagant. Occasionally we might have fish fillets or something with tuna in it but otherwise we never eat any other type of fish or seafood. It’s just never been appealing and we generally eat what my brothers and I like. Dad eats… well anything. He’s a human garbage disposal and I’m sure he’d eat Gulf oysters if they were presented in front of him. I’d certainly hope that he knows how to cook them fully to avoid getting any illnesses. You have to be wary of this whenever you prepare anything though, not just oysters.

Trying new foods

Families eat out constantly in the states. Some times it’s fast food, sometimes sit down restaurants. I usually go out for fast food about once a week, sometimes twice, and as for restaurants maybe once every 3-4 months if that. It’s usually when a special occasion comes up or a bunch of us family/friends decide to get together (usually all the girls). Typically we go to the local restaurants but they can get boring. I’m thinking that next time we decide to all go out to eat I’ll suggest somewhere closer to the city, something a bit different from the norm. I usually am afraid to try new things on menus but perhaps if we go somewhere different I might be tempted to try something like Gulf oysters because hey, you can’t diss it ’till you try it right? Maybe then I’ll be tempted to try other types of seafood as well. We’ll see.

I got a letter hey hey hey hey!

Today was a somewhat busy day. I got up at 10 and went to town with mom where we went to walmart and got groceries and then made an appointment to get the car looked at on Tuesday. We then went and watched soap operas for an hour and a half at my grandma’s while I waited for my psychiatric appointment at 3:45 where they determined I was suitable as a candidate for a psychiatrist, duuuuuur. I have an appointment on the 30th for that. I wish it was sooner, I need something ASAP.

Got home, unloaded groceries and made 3 homemade pizzas for dinner. Everyone loved them and said they tasted great. I hate spreading the dough though. It’s a royal pain. I also got a letter from Randy he wrote Tuesday telling me he was being moved yesterday. A nice uplift, always appreciated. Now I’m sitting at my incredibly messy old desk which really needs to be upgraded to a modern desk before Randy gets home. I have a nice one but the one I’m using downstairs (his) needs more storage space and maybe a drawer. I like mine. It’s got a nice back, a shelf on top, a cubby on the top, a VERY long area for workspace, a door on the tower section, 2 drawers, and a middle compartment. I paid like $130 for it. Not bad I don’t think.
